Natural Skin Care
Emily Doyle, Oliver Sweatman
Founders – Ursa Major
“Our mission is to become the favorite skincare solution for everyday explorers, while raising the bar for what it means to be a responsible company in our industry.”
Ursa Major founders Oliver Sweatman and Emily Doyle started their “supernatural” skincare brand after leaving New York City for the pastoral hills of Waterbury, Vermont. The move, and their eventual brand ethos, came out of a desire to live a more healthy, active, and balanced life, one with ready access to the outdoors. In searching for new, natural alternatives to their go-to face, hair and body care products, the duo found the results disappointing—so they decided to make something much better.
Their head-to-toe line of hard-working face, hair and body care essentials – including face wash, moisturizers, face wipes, shampoo and deodorant (among others) – is formulated with powerful natural active ingredients while avoiding irritating or unhealthy chemicals. The brand has found a loyal following of health-conscious consumers with its curated assortment of daily essentials, its clean, invigorating formulations, its gender-agnostic positioning and its spirited but approachable brand which is about living true and bold (finding your true north), while celebrating the restorative powers of nature.
